No lymph nodes

Had my lumpectomy last December followed by four weeks of radiation which was completed at the end of march and am now taking the dreaded letrozole for five years. When my surgeon went in to take lymph nodes he discovered that I literally didn't have any lymph nodes so he had to do another tracer test on my lymphatic system which was clear thank god. When he told me this I was scared that he missed something and he reassured me that he has been in this business for over 30 years, yet he never came across this before so I feel that I am either unique or still think something was missed and cant move on from this at all. I am based in Dublin and surgeon would be quite renowned. Just wondered if anyone else has any idea if I dont have lymph nodes am I still open to lymphodema, presume I am as he did a lot of pulling around trying to find them!
