Lump in armpit after lumpectomy

Today I noticed and lump under my armpit (no where near the incision) right in the middle in the crease. I had a lumpectomy june 30 and they took out 2 nodes. Is that normal? I have an appts this week so will of course ask but wanted to ask here before. I also will be minding my own business and then just a jolt of pain no where near my incision. Its very weird. I have never had any pain or issues with the incision in the breast and it never even hurt at any time, but I seem the get these armpit pains and arm pains and such from the node surgery. Nothing excruciating just a hmmm what was that. The lump under my pit though is alarming to me. Concerned about lymphedma. Thanks for any info!

Hi gooseberry - I had that same lump. My BS said it was normal when I went to follow up and it would go away. This whole process is so scary! But that is one thing you don't have to worry about.

I had lump size of ping pong ball. I believe it was called a seroma. I would call surgeons office and run it by them. Best wishes for your recovery

I was told it wasn't unusual to have lumpy armpits after these surgeries--but I'd get it checked out for peace of mind.
