lucy, thanks for asking .about me. Just back from my chemo so tired. This last week i had problems with the last infusion, my hand and ached and hurt. So doc has decided to do a port to give my poor veins a rest. Nurse convinced me it was good idea. Onward

Lucy, wow! Your new place is big....guess that means I have to come for another visit when it is done... :-)

After our vacation together hubby went back to California to get our other car and some stuff that was still there....he just arrived here in New Mexico last night after a 2.5 day drive (it is about 1000 miles or so), and I am so happy to have him here...the place is starting to feel a bit like home, Here is the view from my new deck....Sunsets here are lovely.

proudtospun- I like your bartering style. You are so right when it comes to finding a person to do the small jobs it's difficult. Handyman & contractors only want to come out for larger jobs or several small ones. Sorry to hear you're aching and in pain. Hopefully the port will diminish or eliminate your pain.

Octo- beautiful view. I've never been to New Mexico. I heard it is a lovely state.

Lucy- congrats on your new roof. I'm sure your house is going to be beautiful once it's finished.

have to confess, sort of thin k my drain got clogged when i lost my hair last year!

Rule is do not try to clean up sink hair by rinsing down the hair, all clear now

Bartering is good, i barter an extra parking space for watchfulness from my neighbor!

Iris...yep..I know I'm guilty of cleaning up sinks occassionally by rinsing the stuff down the plug hole too !!! ( Only if Hubby's not watching though ! :-). )

luvy-what an adorable pictire. Please provide me with some education. Is your new house going to be near a forest or National Park? Is this normal to have kangaroos so close to your home? There is something exceptionally sweet about a mama with her baby whether it's a kangaroo, dog, cat, Rhino, etc

Jo and Capecodgirl..Our house is on a 1.5 acre semi rural block ..it is quite common to see wallabies/kangaroos in areas like ours..but you wouldn't see them in normal suburban areas ..

I am getting by day to day sometimes minute to minute. I miss Wyatt so much and still haven't quite got it in my head I don't have to schedule around DH anymore to provide coverage for caring for him. Anyway much love to you all.

gee, i seem to have developed an allergic reaction to the infusion chemo they put me on, called doctor as i told her no idea how she could do the next treatment, everything seems to trigger pain in my right arm and as well as itching and big redness. Guess she will figure somethi g out we were going to do a port this week but now not sure

So i am a mess tonight!

Molly- everyday has to be a struggle for you without your darling son. Proudtospin-- hopefully you're allergic reaction will be something simple that the doctor can deal with very quickly. How frustrating anf painful for you. Has the pain or redness diminished?

my next onc visit is friday, in the interim i am not using any creams on my arm as that is what triggers the burning feeling. We were going to do a port but guess we will figure it out. Not sure if they will change meds on me or not

Iris, sounds like it could have been a skin reaction related to what they used to prep your arm for the I.V., or possibly an inflitrate of the chemo into the surface capillaries. A port might avert that next time out.

QMC, Molly--pull over so I can put my rocker on the porch with you. After 12+ years, still the first thing I want to do when arriving at a hotel or back home is call my Mom to let her know where I am and that I made it there safely.

I want to survive. I feel like they are looking in a book and throwing their hands up figuring it might work with no analysis.

Please make sure to get regular imaging they did no imaging for 2 yrs.

Markers just went up.

funthing, you have certainly been through more than most. Have you considered switching onc? I actually did when i reoccured and i am much more at ease with the new one. But i am fortunate that nj has many hospitals to chose from, best wishes
