Hey, my wonderful Duck! Did you notice my new name? It's cause yesterday I was feeling kinda crusty, stinky, and well, shat upon! I feel better today. Boy, lack of sleep can really affect me! So, now I will have to think of a new name today, feelin better today
Thinking of our Mayor, this morning ,noon, and night. I am really worried about her.
Welcome, all new women, I don't know yet how to do the sparkly welcome that Beppy does, not yet, anyway, but wanted to throw down the mat anyway.
I owe many of you a pm, and I will try to catch up with that later.
Shorfi, hope you are feeling much better, and that the shot worked its magic. Love to all

I am also just about slayed about David Bowie. That man saved my life more than once. And when me and my friends were young & wild & beautiful, I was told I resembled him, more than a little. That made me squeakily happy, as I thought 'what could be better!'
This picture is one I took of myself summer 2014, I don't look like him so much anymore!
-
Great picture "Miss Whoever you want to be today............LOL................glad your feeling better..........hugs.

I heard from SDB about 5 minutes ago............for me the news is not good......her Dr thiks she had stroke.......she has some of the signs in the aftermath of what happened to her when the numbness happened..........
Her Dr has ordered an CT of her brain to check for a bleed.......then she will be seeing a Neurologist for further evaluation..........
Please say prayer for her.......she as concerned it was ALS, and as glad to hear it wasn't, but I was hoping for the worst to be a pinched nerve..........she said to thank everyone for their prayers........
-
head bowed. 🙏🏻
-
I was really praying for a pinched nerve. I will keep her in my prayers. Tomboy /kitty nice pic.
-
Ducky: thank you for the update.

Euphoria is setting in. Tomorrow is my last day of radiation. This thread is so great for me because I don't have to explain a thing, you all know the emotions involved good and bad, and most of all the humor! Man it's been a trip. I feel like I can take on the world. Just met with someone about managing their FB page and didn't feel one bit nervous. Ahhh, hope this lasts!
-
Praying for SDB!
-
Eggroll: no, you don't need to explain a thing! (but don't let that stop you from posting about the rollercoaster ride. We'll be here for you.)
-
Sending up prayers for our beloved Mayor.
-
Ducky - thanks for the update about SDB - I've been thinking about her all day - holding her in the light.
Bobby looks like a little boy in that photo - not so babyish. Still - a total doll!!
-
Ducky,
It is impossible for Bobby to take a bad picture!!! He is so dang cute!
So sorry to hear about Slow, but it's better the know what's going on. I'm glad she's seen the doc holding her up to the light.
Egg,
Congrats on being done , let the good times roll!
Kittylitter,
That's some name sister! I grok the Bowie vibe... And love the red lips. Back in the day I used to hear I looked like Annie Lennox as I used to wear my red hair super short then grew it out in 1990 and got bc... Ah well. Looking forward to seeing what name you come up with next.
Shorfi,
Glad you liked the macaron pictures. Seems like I'm spending most of my time cooking.
Mommy,
Thinking of you and hope all goes well with tests.
Glad everyone is all in one piece more or less....dropping back to check on more stuff in CT, trying to catch up
-
Praying for Slow...I was hoping it was just some weird symptom of the RA. I hope the doctors can offer some kind of answers.
-
Prayers sent up for Slow.
-
Thinking of Slow.....holding her in the light as well. I am glad she went to get it checked out.

I have been saying that rads were relatively easy. May have spoken too soon. Now that I am five days done I am having pain, itching and patches of raw skin. It hurts, not in the stinging way I would expect but instead a sort of deep soreness with occasional zings. :-(
I also have minor joint pain, which I attribute to the Arimidex. and I'm tired. Is it the weekend yet?

SDB...prayers from Ohio! Congratulations eggroll!
-
Thinking of you, Slow. Many hugs.
Hi to all. My head's in that place with a new work project where I need to think about it and think and think and think.
Then spent 3 hours in a meeting where there could have been a great deal more thinking and perhaps a bit less, um, talking of the sort apparently untethered to thought processes.
All of which is to say that I am now logging in and reading but focused elsewhere.
DS is printing a long project for school and says that angels are singing inside the printer. Huh.
G'night, crazies!
-
Octo...I as more tired after I stopped Rads then during it.....and they told me that would happen..........I think the tired is the Arimidex too will you just try taking it at night, and see if the tiredness changes.........lots of the women do nightime....said they found it better.......in the daytime it caused them to get very tired.........
I got zings when I had rads, once in a while..and I got zings for a while after.....I was fortunate I did not get burns, but I did use Aloe, Aquaphor, from day 1...........I too had the itching.....that is all normal.......................Your gonna be ok......hugs
-
Talked with Slow earlier. She knows you are all pulling for her. She has the ct next. She's very grateful for the love and prayers.
Eggroll -YAY🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎉🎉🎉💗💗 so happy tomorrow you are DONE!!!
Octo- hang in there gf. I hope the rads healing commences soon. So glad once again you got the Canadian protocol. I am thinking of you and sending much love.
-
ducky, thanks. I did have some trouble sleeping last night. Felt 'wired'. I am worried if I take it at night that will be worse, but I will think about taking your advice if I am not feeling more with it by Tuesday (and we have a long three day weekend here. Yay for that!)
Octogirl
