I got called in for a biopsy

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I'm kind of freaking out. I'm a 32 year old mom with 2 kids under 6. About 2 weeks ago, my nipple became very sore. The next night, I noticed a sore on it. Later, I felt pain in my armpit and found a lump. I went to the doctor the next morning and she ordered an ultrasound. Once they did the ultrasound, they doctor at the clinic decided to do a mammogram. Yesterday, I got a call from my doctor saying what they see in the ultrasound and in the mammogram is different and inconclusive. She is now trying to get my an appointment for a biopsy. I'm freaking out! I never expected anything like this. The waiting is making my imagination run wild! On top of this, I have very little support, aside from my husband, who is my rock! We recently moved and I know practically no one and my mother isn't the most supportive person in the world. I'm feeling pretty scared and I'm glad to have found this forum.

I'm so sorry to hear about all your worries. I'm in a similar boat–had an ultrasound that was "unsure" and so am waiting on a biopsy (mine is tomorrow). Have they scheduled yours yet? I'm having a hard time dealing with the anxiety, too, but I've found that everyone here is really supportive. I've been trying to plan fun things throughout the week to keep my mind off the upcoming tests. Anyway, I'll be sending good vibes your way. Please update when you can!

I got a call last night with an appointment to see a surgeon next Wednesday. My husband was hoping for something sooner, but I'm just glad the "ball is rolling". The waiting to find out is so hard. I love to bake when I'm stressed (it calms me) so my kids are rolling in yummy snacks. cfloat, I am sending you positive thoughts today! Please update when you can!
