Over 70 and recovering from BC surgery

I'll be 73 in a few months and had a BMX in late April because biopsies found cancer in both breasts and although the tumors were <2cm I decided to have BMX to avoid radiation and future MRIs, biopsies and waiting for test results. I still consider myself recovering from surgery because I'm now on 900mg/qd of Neurontin for nerve pain in my chest. I have also completed PT so have nearly full ROM in both shoulders and am also doing myofascial release massage in a center where John F. Barnes started this therapy in the 1960's. Unfortunately, I have not yet returned to pre-surgery activity that included lots of traveling, gym workouts and some bike riding. I do enjoy my time with supportive friends and just now returned to volunteering at a local Hospice. I do not have grandchildren so will not be focusing on that discussion.

I'd like to start a conversation where women over 70 can discuss their concerns because I think the jump from 60 to 70 can be significant in terms of healing/recovery time. Anyone else over 70 out there with similar concerns?
