Low heart rate with high blood pressure after Herceptin

I am 5 years post Herceptin therapy. For well more than a year I have had a heart rate less than 60 with high blood pressure readings in the 130-150/80-95 range. I have often wondered why my heart rate was so low, especially since I have never regained my pre-cancer physical activity level. In any case, the high blood pressure was understandable due family health issues, but not the low heart rate. I never paid any attention to the pulse rate because, other than fatigue, I feel fine. I have attributed my fatigue to family obligations and insomnia.

A week ago, I began taking beta-blocker eye drops for normal pressure glaucoma. Today, I was on the treadmill for 35 minutes with a steadily increasing incline. I noticed my pulse was low for the workout, so I took my blood pressure. It read 139/75 with pulse of 71. Five minutes later, it was 146/82 with a pulse of 57. After a pleasant evening of television, my BP was 157/87 with pulse of 49. Hmm. . .

I realize the beta blocker will lower my pulse, but is it possible that the Herceptin caused the pulse rate below 60 in the first place? My last echocardiogram was 5 years ago and everything checked out fine.

Has any one else experienced a lower pulse rate post Herceptin?

Thanks for any insight or research suggestions you may have.

Cheers and well wishes to us all!
