Well following my kind of good news that second mass seems to be cancer free, I no longer need a mastectomy. I realise its not time to celebrate yet as things change once they remove the tumour. At the minute Im grade 1 and scored 8/8 for oestragen receptors, so as good as cancer can get I guess Im so far that, although my other Mass is IDC. The waiting is awful, the next wait is the op which doesn't worry me as much as the results I am waiting for. The lymphnodes are being removed, so have that and the tumour results re grade and stage etc. I really hope they don't find anything to avoid having the alful chemo. Just sooo scary of all this, glad I have good family and friends as I live alone with no partner so that just makes things worse. Nights alone worry..... :-(

Hi terri -- we're happy to hear that the recently removed mass is nothing to worry about. You've got lots of helpful acquaintances here though who can help you through your lumpectomy!

In fact, the July 2015 Surgery Sisters thread is a great thread to meet others who will be experiencing surgery this month. And, you can get tips from others who have gone through surgery on the June 2015 Surgery thread.

    We hope this helps!

    Dear Terri:

Good luck with your surgery.  I am wishing you the best  I had my surgery on July 22, 2014.  Your surgery will be on my 1 year anniversary.  I am fine and I am praying that you will be too.
