Lymph node mapping (pre-surgery)?

Has anyone had to have/ opted to have a later surgery (like a mastectomy) on their non-le side??? I just had 2 birads 4a areas pop up on mri on my remaining left side and while I'm waiting on my biopsy I'm just trying to gather some info (although it's hopefully for nothing since the risk of a positive biopsy is lowish with 4a). Did you have lymph node mapping (or anything else special) first to help reduce your risk of le on your second side? Did it work?
