medical hypnosis for sexual side effects?

This is going to sound completely out of left field, but I gotta ask - has anyone tried medical hypnosis for hormonal fluctuations and sexual side effects of chemo?

I had an offer from a hypnotist who, of course, claims this stuff can be managed. I'm HIGHLY skeptical but figure there's no harm in asking if others have had any experience, good bad or otherwise. Thanks in advance!

    I have not tried it for that; but after I was diagnosed I bought a 'manage stress' hypnosis CD (which I bought only because it cost $5.00), and to my immense surprise it knocked me right out when I was up on a sleepless night.I still use it on occasion to fall asleep (actually I've re-ordered the same CD about three times). So, I wouldn't rule hypnosis out for just about anything.....it might be worth a try, and it isn't something that will hurt you even if it doesn't work.
