growing fibroadenoma having surgery

After 1 year of monitoring the once thought of as 3 separate fibroadenomas with one larger dominant one turns out to be one large one measuring almost 3.8 cm. I am 47 and given the rate of growth am concerned that it is actually a phyllodes tumor which the surgeon will not comment on. Surgery date is booked.

Anyone have a similar experience?
