Help! I had unprotected sex while on tamoxifen

It was told that if I were to get pregnant while on tamoxifen my child would have deficiencies. Unfortunately I had unprotected sex last night and now I'm panicking. Would it be safe to take the "Plan B one step" aka the morning after pill??

    Ask an advice nurse, all it takes is one time, you do not want to risk health of a baby, due to your brief moment of not thinking

    I know several women who got pregnant on tamoxifen, and their kids are all fine. Your chances are higher of a kid with problems, and it's not a good idea to get intentionally pregnant without stopping tamox, but the odds are still good that the resulting kidlet would be ok.

    But, if you don't want to get pregnant, Plan B works
