My mother died of breast cancer is 2006 at age 48 so I have always been vigilant about breast health.

In spring of 2013 at age 26 I found a lump in my left breast, around 1:00, that was diagnosed as a fibroadenoma and I had it removed as soon as possible.

Last year I luckily tested negative for the BRCA mutation so I thought my troubles were over for awhile.

However, Thursday evening I found a new lump in my right breast. While it feels similar to the first fibroadenoma it is much lower, around 5:00 or so.

I am driving myself crazy waiting for my ultrasound appointment on Tuesday and I am finding it impossible to enjoy the holiday weekend at all. I can't stop my mind from fearing the worst and knowing that the best possible outcome will be having another fibroadenoma surgery in a few weeks.
