Hey Everyone, I have been taking Arimidex for 8 years and have sleep issues on and off.  I have used Melatonin, Neurotin or Benedryl for sleep.  What is everyone taking and is it working?

I used Ambien the whole time I was on Arimidex. The lowest dose 6.25 mg.

Aug24, I am having similar problems. In fairness, I had trouble sleeping prior to cancer and meds but I could take a 3 mg melatonin and that pretty much helped me. Now, with Arimidex, I take 2 10 mg and 1 motrin pm and I still wake up 3 or 4 times a night. I had read where they think melatonin might actually help slow cancer growth, so I thought I would be better off with that than with prescription sleeping pills.

Medical marijuana fixed my sleep problems. (It's legal in my state.)

Since I went on Aromasin, I've used generic unisom, melatonin, and Ativan for sleep issues. But sometimes (like last night), I try to sleep with no meds. Big mistake! I woke up at 3:45 am and never got back to sleep.

Thanks to all.  I wish we had legal marijuana in my state!  Love to all.

Aug, yes, it's so nice to take something that's not expensive and doesn't have nasty side-effects. I hope you find something that helps you sleep. In the past, I have taken muscle relaxants, ambien, Benadryl, and Lorazepam. All have helped somewhat, but not as much as the MMJ.
