Pain Meds and Constipation

For those on pain meds and,finding constipation to be an ongoing problem. I have had to deal with constipation from chemotherapy and then from pain meds. It is one of those topics that I found difficult to discuss but finally talked to my MO. He told me that 2 Senikot pills in the morning and 2 in the evening will keep me regular. He also said that Senikot is expensive so use Senna S (a generic ) available at Walgreens.

Once I got into this routine, I was regular and okay. After a while, I was able to reduce the amount to 2 in the evening only, and now down to 2 every 2 days.

Hope this helps someone who like me suffered but found it difficult to discuss.
