OP done now waiting for results - Fat necrosis
After 18 months of loads of fat necrosis, we removed the lumps today and adjusted the good left breast.
I've got drains until tomorrow. Now the wait begins for the pathology, I have got my favorite pathologist (head of pathology) so waiting to see the report. Hope there's nothing in them. All the scar tissue from previous op has been removed and my PS said he saw some cysts which he sent on.
If I'm in the clear, I will be able to go back to normal monitoring and be so relieved. It's been a long road. Let's wait and see

thanks. Results should be in by Friday. I was able to speak to Head of pathology today who had previously analysed slides for me in 2014. He said he'll be doing everything himself and will analyse everything that was removed. I'm in a weird country where due to insurance purposes, they normally only analyse a few slides in case of breast reductions.
My advice to anyone is advocate, advocate, advocate to get what you need and makes you feel comfortable, no matter how hard it is. It's bad enough having to deal with breast worries than adding to that not getting the answers you need.
here I wait now but in greater peace. Thanks for your support

the waiting for results is hard. My doctor said if this comes out negative he's doing a second one. The doctor that done biopsy said it looks like as he put it a......sunburst. .....there are alot of tiny spots throughout my breast. The lump is close to chest wall. I'm very concerned....not just for myself. ....but for my son . He's terminal and I'm his caregiver. If I'm positive. ....who's gonna care for him. So much is going through my mind. Am I over thinking things? My friend keeps telling me not to worry until I have a reason to . But it's hard not to

I'm positive for IDC .....I'm going the 20th for MRI. which IDC is common I hear......but my doctor is concerned that it's spread elsewhere. So again I wait. Just knowing I have it is stressful. I find myself pushing my family and friends away. I don't mean to. I guess it's cuz I'm use to dealing with things on my own.

Hello Lila,
Sorry about the diagnosis. Just saw this now. I suggest you move on to the diagnosed section where people who are/have gone through this can help you.
Take care,
Alicki
