Gaps in treatment

Has anyone else experienced gaps in radiation treatment longer than 3 days because the linear accelerator is not working? The facility where I was treated has only one, 18 year old linear accelerator ! It was down for 1 week. They admitted they lacked a protocol for treatment on a matching machine! I am afraid my Cancer has repopulated. I wish I had known about the limitations of this radiationcenter! I reported them to The Joint Commission!

    I did have a 2 day break because the machine was down.  But one week

    seems definitely extreme.  So sorry this happened to you.  I have no idea

    of the ramifications of this with your treatment, however.

    I have a lapse in radiation treatment for 1 week (5 days), but it was because I had an infection and blood clot in my port that needed treatment in the hospital. I have no ideas what the ramifications (if any) are of this either.
