Anyone lumpectomy with IORT and margin probe

Hi all-

I am scheduled july 23rd to have an LX with IORT and my surgeon using the margin probe. I was wondering if anyone out there also used these technologies and how their experience and results were?

Plumster, IORT is pretty new and not offered in most of the country. I tried to find out about it, not done in my state. I think you are lucky in some ways, you will get this over with in one fell swoop, so to speak. Sorry can't offer any more information.

I had IORT and was really glad it was available to me. I am not familiar with a margin probe so I cannot comment on it. Best of luck!
