Waiting

I had my fine-needle biopsy last week. I wasn't particularly worried. It was for a dilated duct with a complex cyst on the end of the duct. I still wasn't particularly worried after the biopsy was done. I was waiting to receive a phone call to tell me that all is okay. However, a few days ago, I received a letter with my follow-up appointment scheduled for Monday, 22 June.

All my research tells me it is near impossible to have cancer due to only a dilated duct and a complex cyst. Have any others had any experience in this please?

(I am still not particularly worried ... just really sick of all the waiting and the limbo ... even if it is cancer, it would very early stages, so I am not overly concerned.) Just hate the waiting and not knowing. Would really appreciate anybody else's experience of what I've got.

It is not really the dialeted duct which promoted the biopsy , it is the complex cyst. If it was not necessary to confirm or deny , they would not have asked for it. The wainting is normal after a biopsy even though it is upsetting but pathology reports take from 5 to 10 days depending on the center or hospital.

I will keep you posted once I hear more. I am less worried than impatient. I've never been the world's great waiter ... hahaha
