Anyone with a recurrence of DCIS after mastectomy?

had bilateral masectomy in 2011 for DCIS. I've had a recurrence - any advice? Thanks in advance

    LuckyLegs64, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I'm curious how your recurrence was found. I don't get much monitoring post-BMX. Best wishes in your treatment path -- may it be quick and effective!

    LAstar, thank you for the response and well wishes! I found the DCIS lump on the edge of my sternum - I'm pretty boney/skinny in that area. Also would advise that you be diligent checking under your arms. I found ILC this way ... 3 years after prophylactic masectomy. We watched the axillary node for almost a year thinking it was just reactive because of my surgeries, mesh, etc. For me, my self exams have been the key - imaging was never super helpful.
