Appealing Insurance Company Denials

I will be presenting my case in person before a review committee. Previously, in 2013, I filed a grievance on an different issue clearly in violation of their policy which I won. Prior to that, I used the phone-in option to protest rejection of my wig reimbursement while undergoing chemotherapy. They paid their part.

Although these "benefit providers" don't make it easy, know that you have options and don't be intimidated by their procedures. Get help if you need it by asking another person to back you up and take notes.

Should you feel that your concerns are not being addressed adequately, many states have a consumer friendly government oversight board which can fight for you. I will bump my earlier thread regarding my experience with the Wisconsin commissioner's office. You deserve to receive coverage and prompt attention to your claims!
