Just diagnosed a couple days ago, IDC

I guess I should now be posting here. I have one report that says it's 4 cm and another from path that says 2 cm so who knows I guess. BI-RADS which I have no clue what it is and am not finding it is category 6, known biopsy-proven malignancy. Just got another path report that says grade 3. That's aggessive right? Haven't had consultation with surgeon yet, that's next Thursday. So that's all I know is my biopsy results. Also, most likely not an early catch since last I had a mamo was Sept 2009. Have pretty debilitating generalized anxiety so not very good with preventive stuff.. I'd be surprised if it is a stage 1 or 2. I'm 50 perimenopausal, live alone.

take it one step at a time. I misread my biopsy report and was glad to go through it with the surgeon.

It is good you received a copy of your path report to look at at home. Is there someone who can go with you to your appointments? If not, I would call the cancer Society and they will consult with you over the phone, giving you ideas of questions to ask. It helps to have a second set of ears and questions written down ahead of time. This is all overwhelming so try to take it one step at a time. Hugs! You will get through this

Thanks all! My surgery soonest would be mid-end of July with early Aug probably the max. I have yet to meet my med onc (since the one I met got in trouble in 2012 for using suppliers overseas for medications that were not fda approved- researched him after the appt), which is 7/7. Plastic surgeon I meet on 7/21 unless there is a cancellation or work in possible.
