Coping with mental fogginess during chemo - Research Study

Options

Chemotherapy is really rough. If you feel like chemotherapy is making it harder for you to think or remember things, then we would love to have you be part of our study. At the University of Baltimore, we are trying to figure out how to help women who face confusion, difficulty concentrating, or difficulty remembering things during cancer treatment.

We have found some apps for your phone that we think might help you manage your daily life while you're in chemotherapy, or just after chemotherapy. If you become part of our study, we'll ask you to download two apps, and then tell us about your experiences with using them for two weeks.

The apps will be yours to keep, if you like them. And based on your feedback, we hope to develop a new app that will be even better for helping women manage their lives while facing chemotherapy.

To be eligible for this study you must be:
  • Currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, or have completed chemotherapy within the last 6 months.
  • Currently experiencing memory or thinking problems since starting chemotherapy, such as confusion, difficulty concentrating, or short-term memory loss.
  • A current smart phone owner and user
  • Between 18 and 74 years old
You will be paid throughout the study for your time. The total amount after finishing the study will be $250.
