Dealing with husbands stroke and now my cancer within 60 days!!
Diagnosed about a week ago, waiting on the FISH test because the her2 was inconclusive. 2cm IDC. Feels like it's taking forever!! I feel great one day, next day I'm sure I'm dying and every symptom must be metastasis! It has been one of those years. Watched my husband have a stroke in March, thankfully he is doing much better and now this! I'm glad there are places like this where others understand, even the reactions of close friends have been different.

Oh my goodness Marie that is terrible. Hang in there. And I know exactly what you mean -- I haven't been diagnosed with invasive cancer, and even I feel a pain and think "is that a bone mets???" and then I laugh at myself but it's not funny. The one thing that will get better for you is as the time goes by, you get used to the "new normal" and things even out a bit. At least for me. A year ago I would never have thought I would be getting a PBMX, and now I'm planning for surgery kind of matter of factly ....

I totally understand. My elderly mother came with me at my appointment when they told me I had Breast Cancer and 3 days later she had a stroke. I will always feel responsible. She is okay now but it was a terrible time. Waiting is just the worst as well. When you know what you have got and how it is going to be treated you will feel better. Thinking of you all the way from New Zealand, Donna xxx
