Please help increase in alk phos very scared

please help me. I had my labs drawn -- and my alk phos was moderately high to high. Onc wants to redraw and pet. I'm scared. The only thing changed in last six months is I started by stoic 10 mg for high blood pressure. Please someone out there. I'm terrified and this month was my five year out from idc. Rachel

    Hi Rachel,

    I have had elevated Alk Phos almost constantly for the past two years. My gastro doc is the one who is concerned, my onc does not seem worried about it at all. Because of it I have had a bone scan, and a liver CT, both of which showed no cause for concern. I am being followed with bloodwork every three months. It is in the high range, but I think that as long as it doesn't go over 200, we will just continue to watch and wait. I am told that it can be a rare SE of Arimidex. Don't panic just yet...
