waiting for stupid scans!!

So I finally decided to do chemo (based on lots of professional opinions), but now I have to WAIT for a CT scan and an echocardiogram! The CT isn't until June 4 and the echo is June 16! It's frustrating to finally make a decision then have to wait to go through with it. I'm hoping someone will cancel and I can reschedule both scans to happen sooner. My lumpectomy was Apr 27 and I've read that chemo isn't effective if initiated more than 12 weeks after surgery - I feel like the clock is ticking! (I'll try to find those studies...)

I also have to get a port, and my MO isn't concerned about whether it's put in before chemo starts or after my first infusion - but I am!! I do NOT want to fight with my thin, deep veins on the first one!! The soonest I can consult with my surgeon (not even have the surgery itself) is July 1! Argh!!!

Vent away!! It's good to get it out. It's so difficult to wait when you're ready to move forward. Very frustrating! Best wishes to you. I hope you breeze through chemo with minimal SE's!!
