it depends on the hospital pathology department. I had one of those and my doc told me when I woke up it was nothing-- confirmed a week later by pathology

Mine took two days. I had the biopsy on Monday and got my dx on Wednesday.

so your pathology report came back malignant? After your Dr told you after the surgery that it was nothing? Yikes!

My surgeon only gives results in person. Nine days from surgery to follow up and results.

I just heard from my breast surgeon and he does not have the pathologist report yet. He spoke with the pathologist and she has to restrain some of the samples. Why do you think that would be?

I'm waiting too.Had my surgical excisional biopsy last Thursday, the 18th. I was told I would probably find out at my post-op visit which is tomorrow. I do have a question if anyone can answer it and you don't mind "InStitches". I didn't receive the results yet as I said, but I did receive the details of the Mammo Sentinel Node Needle Localization. I know this is the procedure they did to put in the wires. From the name of the procedure listed, it sounds as though the sentinel node was also included. I don't remember that being mentioned. It doesn't say in the details anything about the node. I guess I'll find out tomorrow but for now, Dr. Google is in overdrive! Thanks!!

The BS just called with my pathology results. It is DCIS, 1.5 cm, grade 2 with clear margins. Also, LCIS and lobular hyperplasia. I am meeting with my DR. Monday morning at 6:00am.

good luck on your results. I know my surgical excisional biopsy was included a wire guide but my sentinel node was not part of my procedure.
