After chemo #5 today,  I saw my resident doctor for the 1st time, wheeling himself into our chemo ward,  wearing his sportsuit as If getting ready for his next charitable event than a doctor making his rounds of his 180-250 cancer patients....Upon enquiry as to who this person is of my attending nurse, I learned much about him, of his polio at the age of 2 that left him crippled from the waist down, and then of his Stage IV leukemia cancer  in 2009, and who bravely did not let these diseases break him, but quite so very determined to overcome them, how he overcame them and how he did with his life thereafter, makes him my NEW SUPERHERO... (Mariah Carey, please take note! ...a true hero who comes along, with this great strength to carry on.....haha!)

This amazingly selfless, great man then uses his time to "run" many amazing, challenging marathons around the world, even one as far as the North Pole,  to raise funds for charity, for children's causes, for cancer causes everywhere that will make us all proud...Here's to Dr. William Tan and many others like him whose passion for life, for making our world a better place truly inspires those around him/them....

I hope you'll enjoy reading about him too..
