I am happy to say my 3 core needle biopsies are all benign!  I am confused with the rest of the report though.  It says:

Specimen A:

.6 cm nodule is benign breast tissue with areas of columnar cysts formation and surrounding fibrosis

Specimen B:

.7 cm nodule is benign breast tissue with areas of fibroadenomatoid change

Specimen C:

.9 cm complex nodule is benign breast tissue with non-proliferative fibrocystic changes with columnar cyst formation and fibrosis

Now I know the non-proliferative fibrocystic changes, fibroadenomatoid change, and fibrosis is normal.  But not sure what the columnar cyst formation is.  I have searched here and Google and can only find Columnar Cell Change.  These were all Ultrasound guided core needle biopsies.  So does it mean they were cysts or Fibradenomas?  My other 3 biopsies were complex FA's.  My Dr's office said it was good news, not great news.  I am just happy to go another 6 months.  I have an appointment next week with a Surgeon who deals with breast issues.  I am only going to her to ask questions, since my PCP is not knowledgeable about breast issues.

Anyone have any idea what "columnar cyst formation" is?
