Hi,

Im trying to decide on what to do with my plasic surgery for silicone implants. Im just fresh out of a single mascetomy on April 22nd and would like to do implants when I can and feel up to it. I start CMF chemo next week for 6 months and my MD says I cant do implant surgery while on chemo. But my plastic surgeon says I can do the two at the same time.  Plastic surgeon said  we would just wait until my white blood counts are ok. But Im thinking I want to wait to do the reconstruction at end of chemo, like month 4.5 or month 5 (at least start the expander process then and then the implant at month 5.5 or 6 month mark. Has anyone out there done this? or similar planning? also, Im supposed to fly out of town for a week with my boyfriend and son, potentially while the expander process will be going on...will I be in so much pain I wont even be able to enjoy my vacation? or loaded up on percaset...? ugh...maybe just put off till next year? but will my tissue in the breast still be ok to expand once I have delayed surgery almost a month?

Help...so many things to consider --any info welcome!Singing

Ann
