pointy nipple!

several years ago I had DIEP surgery on my right side. the surgically created nipple has since flattened. my other nipple is the problem, as it always seems to be on high-beams! I wear padded bras or silicone nipple covers, but I would really like to just have this problem surgically resolved. has anyone else had a real nipple flattened? I don't really care that it will be numb.
