I am 34 ,was diagnosed breast cancer July 2014 ,had mastectomy and axillary clearance ,6 nodes positive including sc node .extra nodal disease in axilla was found on axillary clearance .Had chemo. Radio now on herceptin till nov 15.zolidex .

I need advice about long term use of herceptin in this situation .i believe sc node positive disease mean worst prognosis I am desperate.i feel. Protected with treatment specially after looking at statistics.

Want to live for my daughters 2 and 6 year old.

Herceptin brings us all hope! I was 41 when diagnosed about 5 1/2 years ago with 8 positive nodes and lots of extranodal extention etc. Dont feel desperate. We all do at times, but just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Sometimes, it's about all I can do, but just keep looking forward!

Thank u ,thank u sooooo much.

Since I read that supraclavicular node positive means risk of recurrence v high I am numb all over .i was going to ask my consultant if it was appropriate to consider long term herceptin or not .

    Stay blessed my dear.

HI ABASI. I UNDERSTAND HOW FRIGHTENED YOU ARE.PLEASE KNOW THERE ARE MANY LADIES OUT THERE WITH LOTS OF NODES DOING WELL AFTER MANY MANY YEARS.

FOR MYSELF, I HAD 12 POS NODES WITH LOTS OF NASTY OTHER BAD PROGNOSTICATORS. THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH I AM WELL ! YOU TOO WILL GET THROUGH THIS TIME .

so glad I have joined this website. I am thankful for ur reply .all I get to see in chemo unit is patients coming back with mets majority are her 2 cases.i need to see ,meet and talk to survivors like yourself to build up some hope

At present I am suffering from nausea and headaches which is probably nothing but I can't stop thinking of worst .i hope it's just herceptin......I salute all of you for the courage with which u have fought cancer .

Unfortunately I am a doctor and as a junior doc I have worked in oncology Center and all I have seen is people dying with this disease my contact with survivors was zero bc we did not go to outpatient clinic .
