How accurate the PET scan is ?

I was complaining from bone ache and headach


the doctor ordered CT head and PET scan


the results of PET was normal but CT was with no contrast and showed no evidence of abnormalities so there was a comments by radiologist that he cannot rule out mets to the brain totally since its done with no contrast and he recommend MRI.


If the PET scan for head and neck is normal should i ask for MRI ?
