How quick was your recourance?
Hi, i was dx with ILC pleomorphic type HER2+ in August 2014. Just finished chemo 2/15. And radiation 4/15. Just had mammo yesterday. They now want a bio in the other breast. It scared the hell out of me when they told me. Is it too soon to get cancer in the other breast? Waiting to hear from BS.

I didn't have ILC, but IDC. I finished my chemo in 2/07 and was doing my year of herceptin when I went in for a follow up mammo on my remaining left breast in 5/07. The results came back BIRADS 5 due to the microcalcifications present.
My oncologist told me that she was 99.99999% sure that it was not breast cancer. However, because my body asymmetry was so bad due to a mastectomy of my huge right breast and I wanted to have the left one greatly reduced, she told me to seize my opportunity and have a simple mastectomy of my left breast.
One week later, the other huge breast was gone. All the slicing and dicing by the pathology found only benign conditions in the breast.
Hopefully, you will have the same outcome.

I just finished my last Herceptin treatment on April 3. Was diagnosed with lung mets on April 27. I was declared NED after surgery in September, had radiation for 5 weeks, and then Herceptin. Feel so shocked because I had no time to enjoy a cancer-free life, really. Not sure what's next for me. UNC doc recommends taxol with H&P. I don't want to go back on chemo until I have to, and am currently asymptomatic.

I finished TCHP in July 2014, pcr in August 2014, Herceptin through January (16 doses). I started having equilibrium issues in April, was misdiagnosed with a pinched nerve in my neck (occipital neuralgia) and was hospitalized in July needing sn emergency craniotomy for brain met to the cerebellum.
They did think I was stage 4 at the start but scans didnt show any spread beyond my axillary and one internal mammary (behind breastbone) nodes. The PET scan might not have gone high enough as I never had a brain scan at the get go.
So, around 8 months after final chemo and 2.5 months after final Herceptin. Hoping to kick it back into oblivion with more therapy
