tRNA as potential regulator in cancer cells

Options

This is fascinating. tRNA (transfer RNA, which normally serves to bring amino acids to the ribosome to make new proteins during protein synthesis) is implicated in down regulating certain genes in cancer cells. Unclear what the implications will be - but RNA nucleotides can be easily synthesized, and if a proper target could be identified and the synthetic RNA gotten into the cell.... might be yet another target.
