Arimidex and Wellbutrin? Contraindications?

Dear all, I'm taking a small dose of effexor right now for hot flashes and also taking my daily arimidex. I need something else to treat depression and am not interested in upping my effexor rx; I want to take Wellbutrin for reasons that don't need to be really detailed here (libido and weight). I've researched exhaustively and have found no contraindications for taking the two together (arimidex and Wellbutrin). Does anyone else know about the combination?

I've been on Wellbutrin since 1998, when my MO prescribed it for ADD. He is ADD as is his daughter and he asked me when I was first diagnosed. I said... Huh??? Turns out that explained a LOT. Wellbutrin was great for my focus etc. I didn't have depression but ADD explained a whole lot about my personality since childhood. Anyway, I am now on Arimidex after chemo (triple positive) T/H and still taking herceptin. My Drs in LA and up at UCSF all know I take Wellbutrin along with my Arimidex with no problem

Ask your doc for sure, but I am on welbutrin to cut down cravings for smoking, but I noticed it does give me increased energy. I took it while on arimidex, femara, and now tamoxifen. All my docs are aware of this. i think the only thing you are not supposed to do, is effexor and tamoxifen. Hope that helps, and good luck to you

Everytime I write femara, it turns it into femur!
