    My work further is cooperating. More important, a bilateral lessens your risk of coming up bc+ and then having a surg decision along with the unpleasant bc treatment involved.

    When I got qual'd to do a pbmx, frankly, it was a gigantic relief.

    I thought that having multiple family members with BC as I do is a significant family history . Definitely in the genes in my family . BRCA 1.

    Thanks for adding all the posting here, ladies. I am so sorry you have all had so much to deal with, however, sharing your stories makes me feel not so alone!

    My sister just had genetic testing while she is going through chemo for Stage 3 BC - she has the

    Chek2 1100 delc gene mutation - my mom, who also had BC, will be tested next to see what side

    of family it is coming from -- geneticists think my mom's BC was a "fluke" just by looking at family history.

    I don't have children so am not as worried about being tested.
