I just turned 30, and last week I was dx with IDC. I've had ultrasound, mammogram, biopsy and MRI. I met with a breast surgeon friday. What's next? Are they going to do any more testing? Not sure what to expect now

Hi honey, First, I am so sorry for your diagnosis here. However, you did come to a great place for care and support. I was diagnosed with IDC in 2006. It is all up to your Breast Surgeon. Do you see your Surgeon this Friday? Your next step, probably will be a Lumpectomy, or, Mastectomy. It depends on the size of your Cancer lump. I had a lump size of 2.5 cm. And, I had both the Lumpectomy, and, Mastectomy done. You do have an option, as well. Honey, just wait until you talk with your Surgeon on this. Try not too worry to much. Its hard not too, I do know. Just keep positive and strong.

    Good Luck,

    Kaloni Winking

Thank you, I have a couple of lumps the largest is 13cm, 7cm and 2cm. So I've already figured mastectomy is my option. Did you have chemo? Did you have a port put in?

    Thank you
