I'm guessing that this post was reported because people thought she was posting SPAM; however; it wasn't SPAM. It was a link to Stanford University's site asking for volunteers to donate their unused computer resources to be used to better understand protein folding and its role in diseases--specifically in this case, breast cancer.

Well then, the protocol is to get in touch with the mods and ask their permission to post request. Might have also been helpful to put Stanford in the title.

I agree completely that having Stanford in the thread title would've been beneficial, as well as describing what the link was about. This is the specific forum where members post links to studies, research, and trials about breast cancer, and that's what she did. But, I know how much ridiculous SPAM winds up on BCO, of which most are suspicious links. I, for one, report those horrible fake members who target this site, so I understand that sometimes legitimate posts are sometimes confused and reported. Anyway, I wanted to post to let anyone who sees the thread, as well as the mods, know that the original poster was a long time member posting a valid link.
