Good question Everett. I hope someone comes along that knows the answer to this as I would like to know too!

On this same subject, did anyone and their their MO use the % and staining strength of the cells to help guide adjuvant treatment?

For instance, Both my ER and PR stain weak and are just 25% positive. I didn't get an Allred score but by my est. it would be like a 4 or 5 out of 8. I hope to get an Onco type soon to help guide decision (I know it factors in taking the meds for the full course) but it seems that with 75% ER/PR negative, are the 5 years on these drugs worth all the side effects? I have done numerous searches but most studies just deal with the 1-10% "are they positive or negative" debate.

I am so discouraged with this score. I would feel better being more positive taking these meds or being completely negative and taking chemo. These were my biopsy % so hopefully my final path report will be more definitive either way.

I'm 95%ER+, 95%PR+, and I'm on aromasin. Because my cancer is so strongly ER/PR, MO is willing to prescribe me anything to help me with the side effects. So far, nothing too bad. Aromasin made me moody, so I'm on Celexa. But, otherwise, just some mild hot flashes, particularly in the evening.
