I have seen a counselor that specializes in trauma, an art therapist which has helped me talk about the changes in my body and am taking lexapro which is for anxiety and derpression. The combination of talk and medicine has helped me keep my head above water with all this! In the middle of chemo I lost my dad and wouldn't have been able to keep it together without the support. There is another thread that discusses how a lot of women get PTSD like symptoms from the trauma to their lives and bodies. Heck we had amputations even if other people can't see them. It was hard for me to say to my PCP "I'm depressed". I felt like a loser. Stupid stigma I wouldn't have felt that way saying I had a concern about my blood pressure. She said "well who wouldn't be". you can get through this and feel better. Hug!

    Hi!

I'm on Aromasin, and it was making me feel weepy. So, MO prescribed Celexa -- it's not supposed to interact with AIs. I feel much better. Another thing that helps is exercise (I know, I know, it's the solution to everything these days). When I was doing chemo, just making it around the block a few times made me feel better (even if I ended up on the couch the rest of the day). Talk to your MO; she may have other suggestions.

Check your Vit. D level. Low Vit. D can cause a lot of problems including depression and SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). It is not at all for women to be low in Vit. D without taking suppliments. I have seen some information that there is some thought/research that might show a relationship between low Vit. D and BC.
