Very interesting. One of the most influencing reasons why I turned down the chemo tx was b/c I could have Rx'ed the recommended ACT chemo myself or even the second recommendation of CMF. Seemed too random as if it was a guess on the MO's part b/c there are not many choices. Maybe the A of the ACT would have been enough to treat me, or the T would have done the job?????

I don't like the maybe or may be effective for your particular tumor. Put me through all that toxic tx and find out it did not work and the cancer comes back. I could not subject my body to that. I needed more than just "insurance".

I hope this new research of testing the drugs to the tumor before surgery happens to make the choice of what tx is best for you comes to market. Too late for me....Or maybe I didn't need the chemo after all. Time will tell.

How fascinating! Leave it to MIT to come up with something mechanical in nature that will hopefully benefit many cancer patients. That's really thinking outside the box!
