Lumps breast and axilla. New primary or leaking implant?

Options

Hello all,

I just joined you today after a recommendation. After a cursory look around I can see why it was recommended. I have a quick query. Several months ago my right arm started getting heavy and uncomfortable. I found three small, pea sized lumps in my right breast ( non cancerous boob), and two more sizeable lumps under my armpit. They are painless and do move. I was diagnosed with multifocal breast cancer, IDC and DCIS 2012. Lumpectomy, rads and tamoxifen.BRACA - but classed as higher risk due to the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer in the family. I have waited a few months to do anything as I seem to have had a few cysts since starting tamoxifen. I have silicone implants in both breasts - pre diagnosis. Anybody Kind enough to share any thoughts / experiences. I am thinking leaking implant or new cancer. Thank you in advance.

HI, I don't have any experience with this but am certain others will be along soon to offer insight.  Praying you are ok.

No experience here either. I would think an MRI is in order to check the integrity of the implant and to rule out a new primary. Best wishes for only benign results.

Thank you for your kind words. I have a medical review (planned annual review), Thursday and annual mammogram in May. Sitting tight and crossing fingers. X

    Dear ladies,

For anybody reading this thread at any stage - I have just had my two year review. Lymph nodes felt by surgeon who ordered ultrasound of axilla in addition to the annual mammogram. Results in. All good. No evidence of disease. I had managed the anxiety but can't pretend it was easy hiding it from family and friends. I hope it is helpful to share that even the most worrisome of lumps can have an outcome other than malignancy after a cancer diagnosis. Take care all.
