BTDT, no thanks.

Don't have anyone to share this with right now. My family is basically my husband and daughter. Husband is out of the country until tomorrow night, and I do not want to worry my daughter unless it's necessary. She lives out of state anyway.

Went for my annual today. New doctor, wanted US and bone scan. I'm right at 3 years. There's a 6mm lump on my remaining breast and I must have a biopsy on Tuesday. Can't feel it, but could see it on the US. Looked like a little volcano.

Probably won't know results until end of next week. So you guys are my anonymous support system I'm afraid. Someone please tell me some things it could be besides cancer! I don't have the same signs I had before, but the tumor in my right breast was 3.5 cm and very aggressive.

Hi Diana - You know they're going to be extra cautious with you, right? Also a new doc is going to want a baseline. 6 mm is really small and it could be any number of things. Remember our rule "dont't go there 'til you get there." Good luck, let usknow how things go.

thank you, Lucy. It was a bit of a shock, and I don't have a good record with biopsies. 1 for 1 so far. But will try not to cry until I am hurt! My kitty is providing comfort right now, keeping my leg warm.

Put off the biopsy until first week of June and went to see my Dr. instead. She says about 85% sure it will be malignant, same type as before probably, the spot was there on my first MRI three years ago. Took this long to get to 6mm so I figure it can wait until after my trip the last week of this month to see my daughter.

Last time I had horrible groin and hip pain for the entire month between biopsy and surgery. It went completely away after surgery. Either the biopsy made the tumor "angry" or the clip did. The biopsy was pretty violent. So I am making sure they are close together this time.

Still have a 15% chance it is benign! But I'm not counting on it. MRI next week.

oh geez Diana! The odds suck but how can they really know? Enjoy your trip. Can't they just do surgery and skip the biopsy? Thanks for letting us know

I asked about an excisional biopsy, but was told no. I would really prefer that. Maybe I should check around.

Had the biopsy yesterday, it's lobular. Off to other boards. Thanks for the thoughts.

Ok, while I'm here... I've got an unusual symptom. Happens at dinner time, I feel full after a few bites. This has been going on for a while, haven't lost any weight because of it though. I press through. ha

It doesn't look like the ILC tumor has spread to my nodes, won't know for sure until after surgery on June 18th.

I know early satiety can be a symptom of gastric mets, rare but happens with ILC. Can this happen without going through the nodes? Time to find a new oncologist maybe?

I think if is more likely a response to the stress. When I was diagnosed I lost my appetite for several month. Just didn't want to eat. Quite unusual for me. Lost thirty lbs. Once I got my happy back I gsined it back though. I did try to make really good food choices back then because I knew my body needed it for healing. I don't think gastric mets are that common. This is a terrible shock and the brain has lots of ways with coping with it. Hang in there.
