HI, I recently moved from OH to AZ and am looking for a doctor.  Currently am not working so no insurance yet.  Does anyone know of a good onc in the Phoenix area?

Did you get an answer elsewhere? If not, I would highly recommend the Mayo Clinic. I'm about 3 hrs. west of Phoenix (Palm Desert, CA), and my hubby has gone to The Mayo in Phoenix when he's needed a specialist, and we've been very impressed. For such a sizeable facility, they have easy access and run like clockwork -- incredibly organized, with precise appointment times honored, etc. And the docs at any NCI-designated facility will be the absolute top-notch at their specialty. Hi, I went to a BC specialist at MD Anderson in Gilbert for a second opinion. I liked her; can't remember her name but she was from the upper Midwest and got her degree at Northwestern. I decided not to get treatment there because it was far to drive, and I found a great doc in Sedona that was closer.

I contacted the Mayo clinic and they said they only handled "active" treatment cases.  Also called Banner Health and they wanted 15k down for an ray if you don't have insurance! Yikes  SO the search continues at least until I get insurance.
