Diagnosed today, 4/20, IDC
Finally heard after waiting since Wednesday. My biopsies indicated invasive ductal carcinoma, ++-
I am just happy to have results. I meet with the surgeon this week. Lots of thoughts percolating through my head, but I feel good about the journey ahead!

I'm so sorry for your news but welcome aboard! I LOVE your screen name. Perfect for this site (for obvious reasons of hoping) but that is my favorite Crosby, Stills, Nash song of all time. You sound like you're doing ok, which I hope so. This is such a great website with loads of helpful information but also you can know without a doubt that you are not alone.
It's very scary those first few days but you're going to do great. You will feel so much better once there is a plan. Waiting is the hard part and you've already managed that.
I just wanted to offer my support. You can do this!!

I'm so sorry you have been diagnosd with IDC. You sound like you have a great attitude. I certainly felt better once I had a plan. Uncertainty is so hard to handle. Best wishes for your treatment. You will find this site great and full of information, advise and support.
Sara ((hugs))

Dear hopelesslyhoping, It's been almost a month since my dx. I am finding that you can ask just about anything you want on this board and someone always has a good answer. I'm so inspired by the women on here. They are true warriors and soon you and I will be also. I hope your treatments go easy and we'll for you. I'm still waiting for my oncotype test results so I don't have a plan of action yet. But I'm hoping to soon. Best of luck . Sandy

Thanks, ladies!! It is wonderful to have so much support and information at one place.
I think this has been harder on my husband, who lost his father and many relatives to cancer. I don't have any cancer in my family at all. If anyone knows of any good hubby resources, please let me know

Thanks, hummingbird! That song is one of my favorites, too. I was raised on CSN, and it just popped into my head when I had to enter a user name!

Hello Helplessyhoping, I was diagnosed on February 13th, then had a biopsy on the 20th...The waiting for me during that time of "not knowing" and the shock of I have cancer really?? Once I found out what kind, how far along and what my treatment options were I was able to just keep moving to the next thing. I have leaned heavily on these boards during this time as well. You will find all the love, support and advice from women who are all in the same (relativly) boat. Please keep us updated on your diagnosis. My heart goes out to you.

Sorry you are coming to our party but at least you have come to the right place! Hugs to you as you start this path....Not fun, but you will knock it out step by step. Good luck!
