I'm only 24 but I'm worried after ultrasound

Hello ladies,

Would really appreciate your input. I just received my results for an ultrasound and my doctor is urging me to get a mammogram done as well as visit a cancer clinic to see if they recommend a biosy. I'm freaking out because the report of the ultrasound doesn't sound too good to begin with. If any if you had similar specifications on your ultrasound please share your story.

I'm sorry you are worried, but please try not to freak out.  This just means they need more information to figure out if it is worrisome or not.  I would definitely go back for more testing, but this doesn't really tell you anything yet.  BIRADS 0 just means it is inconclusive.

Well, we think that the doctor is being responsible and wants to get more info about that mass, and that's good, but we understand that it can make you think about the worst case scenario. Please take a look at the article What Mammograms Show: Calcifications, Cysts, Fibroadenomas. It reinforces that there are many other benign masses, including some that are especially common among young women. Hope this ease your mind until you have your mammo results.
