I was told I must have the Benadryl in case of an allergic reaction. My MO said you can have a reaction even after the first tx. Why did the dex not agree with you?
(((hugs)))

I will talk to my MO about that....I would rather drive if I can

I still get 2 antihistamines in my pre med in case of allergic reaction.it's just they are non drowsy. As I've had 74 with no issues I'm not too concerned about reaction at this stage. The dex affects my sleep terribly. I also got the 2 day crash which made it difficult for work. Now things are much more settled.

I took adavan last nite so I slept pretty good. Tonight I chose not to take it and I have a feeling I wont sleep either due to the dex.
Are you still doing chemo or finished?
-
I'm not a morning person at all! My chemo was on Thurs, office insisted I come in by 11 next day. Not quite 24 hours from infusion. The Dex was jacking my glucose, so they cut it back.

Anewbeginning...so how did it go for you? Were you able to drive home? And how are you feeling after your Neulasta shot? Hope all is well! --Lorie

I drove myself just fine for my 6 cycles... although my sister often wanted to accompany me and drive me, and I let her sometimes. --And I was hospitalized during my first two cycles and had to have home IV drips each cycle afterwards. I didn't get out some days, but I could still drive if I wanted to. I think most people just like to have the company... But I was fine going on my own and just relaxing in the chair with my feet up, listening to music or reading. --And I was usually there for a good 4 hours or more.
Of course, I didn't have far to go, and the drive wasn't hard... in L.A. and not NYC! We just have traffic jams--OK, and some crazy drivers, but I could avoid the freeways at rush hour so it was easy. (Heh... we live in our cars out here, you know?)

I drove myself to chemo with no problems. The steroids make u feel good for about 2 days so chemo day is fine to drive. The bloodwork visit the week after was tough, again driving was not a problem but moreso walking in and out of home/hospita
