Sister having byopsy in OK, we in FL

My sister and husband sold their home in January and are fifth wheeling it now. They were here in FL but when we left town for another cancer in the family that resulted in death she panicked because she thought her teenage Granddaughter needed her back in OK. We had set her up with our family Doctor and all the test that had already been ordered by her OK Doctor so she might go through everything where my wife and I , who are retired , could care for her. We were also, assured our family Doctor is well connected and there is good treatment here.

Just curious if anyone knows whether treatment would be best in Tulsa, OK or Daytona Beach , FL. We have a large support group here that is familiar with Oncologist, the Cancer Hospitals, etc but, not OK? It will not be easy to get her back for this because she thinks she is spending the summer with a daughter in WA and then come back here in OCT or NOV, no one has the time or resources to help her in OK or WA and we do. Would anyone recommend attempting to get her back here immediately or since she has a biopsy scheduled there on Thursday , wait and see the results and then maybe come here for second opionion , etc?

I'm a little confused. What prompted the biopsy? Most biopsies end up with benign results. Why do you believe she has cancer if she hasn't had a biopsy yet

    Wildchild-

We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO, we hope you find the support and information you're looking for!

We're going to second MelissaDallas's question: what prompted the biopsy? Did she have a suspicious mammogram or ultrasound? If she hasn't had a biopsy yet, we're assuming she hasn't received a diagnosis of cancer yet? Like Melissa said, most biopsies end up being benign, so it would seem presumptive to try to get her to come back Florida permanently. Once she has the biopsy and the results come in, then you can talk to her (and her doctors) about where she would receive the best care and support. It sounds like you're very concerned about her being in a place where she will have the help and support she'll need, should she be diagnosed. We're sure that, if the time comes, she would be receptive to staying close to you and your wife so that you can help her as much as possible.

Please keep us posted, we hope her biopsy comes back benign!
