How soon after you started tamoxifen did you see your doc?

How soon after you started tamoxifen did you have an appointment with your medical oncologist? Thanks!

Hey oceangirl654, My MO had me start tamoxifen before I started radiation. It seems like I saw her a month after I began taking tamoxifen and then again at the 3 month mark. We had set that second appointment up way back during my first visit with her.

3 months, then every 6 months after that

I saw my MO 6 weeks after starting it and then I see her again in June which will be 3 months from last visit.

I started Tamoxifen in Jan, saw the MO six weeks later. My next appointment is in July

I started Tamoxifen on 2/24/15 and am scheduled to meet w/ my MO again on 5/8 so about 10 weeks after starting.

If I remember correctly, I saw my MO 3 months after I started Tamoxifen. I now see her every 6 months.

I started on Arimidex and was on 6 month follow ups. At one year, I switched to Tamoxifen (Dec 2014) and will see him in May so it continues at 6 month follow ups.
